I believe healing begins when we feel truly seen and understood, and I strive to create a supportive space where you can explore your experiences, recognize your strengths, and move toward meaningful change.
I am Dana DeLemos and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and other difficult life experiences. My approach is compassionate, collaborative and strengths-based. I enjoy helping clients better understand themselves and the patterns that may be holding them back while developing practical skills, building confidence, and creating meaningful change in their lives.
I take a person-centered, strengths-based approach, meeting you where you are while helping you identify patterns, build practical coping skills, and develop greater self-awareness. I draw from evidence-based approaches while recognizing that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Together, we'll find strategies that fit your needs, experiences, and goals.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel difficult, and you don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. I strive to meet you with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment as we work toward the changes that matter to you. When you're ready, I invite you to schedule an appointment and take the next step.

The road is never easy, I am here to listen and empower you to overcome any obstacle.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with four years of experience. I completed my Master's degree in clinical mental health counseling at Kutztown University. I work with children, adolescents, and adults using evidence-based practices. I specialize in depression, anxiety, attachment disorders, psychosis, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, trauma, grief, and ADHD. I strive to establish a strong therapeutic relationship and create a safe, nonjudgmental environment that fosters trust and understanding. My goal is to empower clients with tools and strategies for meaningful change.
I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness-based approaches. These evidence-based practices help clients understand the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I assist clients to build resilience, enhance problem-solving skills, and improve their overall well-being.
It takes considerable strength and resilience to acknowledge when we're struggling and need help. I'm committed to being present and providing guidance in a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your challenges and work toward positive change. I invite you to schedule a session.

I believe therapy is a collaborative journey where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. My goal is to provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions while building practical skills to improve your daily life.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, and other everyday struggles that can impact overall well-being.
My approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, and tailored to your individual needs. Using CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and DBT-informed interventions, I help clients build coping skills and move toward lasting change. Whether you're seeking support for yourself or your child, I aim to build a relationship based on trust, authenticity, and hope.
During our first session, we'll get to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. I'll ask about your concerns, history, and goals. Together, we'll begin creating a plan that feels realistic and meaningful for you. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and judgment-free, helping you feel comfortable, heard, and empowered from the start.

As one who has experienced personal trauma and loss, I have an authentic understanding of how we can impact each other in positive and negative ways, and how processing grief and trauma empowers and strengthens our dignity.
I am a licensed professional counselor with three years of experience. I earned my Master of Arts from Franciscan University of Steubenville and have specialized training in CBT, ACT, solution-focused brief therapy, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care. I typically work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, grief, and trauma. Whether navigating a specific crisis or pursuing personal growth, I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and equipped to achieve their goals.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I draw primarily from CBT, helping clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build practical skills. Together, we'll work to build self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful progress toward your goals.
Seeking support takes courage, and reaching out is often the first step toward meaningful change. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking to better understand yourself, you don't have to navigate those challenges alone. If you're ready to begin, I invite you to schedule an appointment. I look forward to working with you.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Teen counseling helps young individuals better understand and manage the challenges that affect their mental health. Common challenges amongst teens include anxiety, depression, ADHD, and problematic relationships with food.
Teen counseling works by using multiple techniques, tailored to fit the teen’s unique needs — based on their age group, their challenges, and the severity of their challenges. It might involve cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, art therapy, and others for varying ages. In any case, Thriveworks teen therapists in Pittsburgh have the expertise and experience to help young individuals at their level.
Signs that teens might need Teen counseling can be very subjective, as they are experiencing many changes and can have intense reactions to them. As parents, you know your child best and are best equipped to judge whether certain reactions are standard behaviors for your teen or whether they might be hinting at a larger problem. Even so, there are a few common signs and events that often point to a need for therapy, such as experiencing divorce or loss, grief, consistent low moods, teens distancing themselves and becoming isolated, losing interest in hobbies, excessive anger or irritability, substance use issues, and suicidal ideation, among others.
Teen counseling providers at Thriveworks in Pittsburgh, PA offer both in person and online therapy by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
The length of teen counseling depends on your teen’s needs as well as the goals that you and their therapist might have for them. Generally, teen counseling sessions will last for several months.
