About
I believe healing happens when you feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported as a whole person, not just a diagnosis.
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 15 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. I work with children ages 10 and older, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, trauma, and psychotic disorders. Many of the clients I support feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck and are seeking clarity, stability, and relief.
I earned my master’s degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama. My approach is collaborative, individualized, and compassionate, with a focus on understanding each client’s full experience, strengths, and goals. I provide thoughtful evaluations, clear education, and treatment planning that may include medication management and supportive care.
Seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I strive to meet clients with respect, understanding, and support while helping them improve emotional well-being and daily functioning. I would be honored to support you as you take the next step toward healing and growth when you feel ready.

My professional career spans over 20 years of working in the Denver and Jefferson county community mental health systems, helping Coloradans cope with a range of diagnoses and severities. During that time I have focused on helping people cope with depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, and issues that affect men specifically. I received my master’s degree in counseling from Adams State University, and my undergraduate in social work from Phillips University.
I use the framework of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to guide discussions to help rethink our situations, challenge our maladaptive beliefs, and move forward with valued actions.
In my personal life, I enjoy skiing, playing guitar, disk golf, going to concerts, and taking care of my dog. I have lived in the Denver area for over 30 years and still love to get out and play, especially if it’s free or in the mountains. If you are in need of someone to talk to I’m always willing to listen.

I’m a warm, behaviorally grounded therapist who will meet you with compassion and real-world tools—so you feel understood, learn what’s driving the patterns, and build skills that make daily life worth living.
I'm a therapist with a practical approach grounded in DBT and behavioral principles. I work with clients stuck in intense emotions, anxiety, shame, or repeating relationship patterns. I draw from DBT, CBT, and behavioral strategies while keeping work collaborative and tailored to you. Many clients want clear tools and practice to manage overwhelm, reduce reactivity, improve communication, and feel more steady. Whether navigating stress, transitions, neurodivergent traits, or patterns that don't match who you're trying to be, my goal is to help you feel understood and empowered—with a practical plan you can use.
My style is warm, direct, practical. I use DBT and behavioral strategies to help you identify patterns and practice skills that work. I also use CBT for thinking patterns. You can expect collaboration, accountability, and real-world focus through coping plans and communication practice. My goal is for you to leave with skills you can use independently.
If you've been carrying a lot while staying functional, you're not alone. Therapy is a place where you feel genuinely understood and learn skills to make life more manageable, one step at a time. If you're ready for supportive, practical work grounded in real change and compassion, I'd be honored to work with you. Schedule an appointment when you're ready.

As someone shaped by diverse cultures and communities, I bring a deep respect for each person’s unique story and a belief that healing begins with feeling seen, valued, and empowered to write the next chapter.
I am a Licensed Social Worker with 9 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life transitions. I work with adults navigating stress, identity challenges, trauma, and relational changes. My approach integrates holistic wellness, evidence-based practices, and compassionate connection to help clients find healing, balance, and purpose in their lives.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Western New Mexico University. My approach blends evidence-based therapies with mindfulness, strengths-based, and culturally responsive practices. I create a collaborative space where clients feel supported as they build resilience and emotional wellness.
Wherever you are on your journey, you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we’ll create space for healing, growth, and renewed confidence. I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you take the next step toward balance, connection, and self-discovery.

As a veteran and trauma-informed therapist, I understand that our experiences can shape how we see ourselves and the world around us, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered to better understand themselves and the experiences that have shaped them.
I am a Licensed Social Worker and trauma-informed therapist with extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. Throughout my career, I have supported people navigating trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, behavioral and emotional challenges, family conflict, crisis, and difficult life transitions. I work with clients who may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure of what comes next, helping them better understand their experiences, develop healthier ways of coping, strengthen relationships, and build confidence in themselves and their ability to navigate life’s challenges.
I believe therapy works best when clients feel comfortable being honest and know they will be met without judgment. I take a practical, individualized approach, helping clients recognize patterns, build coping and communication skills, and identify strategies that fit their lives. I value authenticity, and working alongside each client at their own pace.
Reaching out for support can be difficult, especially when you have been carrying things on your own for a long time. You do not have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Wherever you are right now, we can start there. If you feel I may be a good fit for you or your family, I invite you to schedule an appointment.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

People may have mild, moderate, or severe internet gaming disorder if they struggle to control how often or how long they game. Thriveworks video game addiction counseling in Westminster helps those who suffer by assisting them in regaining control over video gaming. In addition, it can help them cope with the negative effects of video game addiction counseling from anxiety to depression, insomnia, and more.
Video game addiction counseling at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and through Online therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
The length of video game addiction counseling depends on the individual’s needs as well as the extent and severity of their problem and those that might stem from it. That said, people can make meaningful progress in the first weeks to months of therapy.
Many teens and adults alike are having difficulty regulating their video game use. Mental health professionals are still researching whether these behaviors fit the strict definition of an addiction, but several things are clear:
Drawing from the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous, support groups such as Online Gamers Anonymous and Computer Gaming Addicts Anonymous have formed. Many people are coupling these support groups with mental health counseling as they battle their own or their child’s video game habits.
The therapists at Thriveworks Westminster are seeing more and more clients who cannot regulate when, where, and how long they game. If you are playing video games longer and more often than you should, counseling may equip you with the skills to regain control. Reach out today for support.
People may have severe, moderate, or mild internet gaming disorder based upon how many of the following symptoms they present:
In addition to these symptoms, parents should lookout for the following within their teens or children:
The common denominator in these symptoms is control: can people control their gaming habits or have video games taken control of their lives?
Mental health professionals are still studying how internet gaming disorder develops, and some posit that the narratives within the games are a contributing factor. In particular, their concern is about compulsion or core loops that set up a series of challenges and rewards where each reward leads immediately into the next challenge. With each reward, the brain also releases dopamine, associating the game with a pleasurable experience.
The narratives of many games employ compulsion loops, including mobile games, social networking games, and massively multi-player online role-playing games (MMORPG).
When people have a hard time regulating their video game use, they may also experience other relational, emotional, and physical problems:
Have your child’s gaming habits grown uncontrollable? Is gaming standing in the way of your personal relationships or your career advancement? If so, you are not alone. Many people are struggling, and many people are reaching out for help.
If you are ready to meet with a mental health professional, Thriveworks Westminster has appointments available for video game addiction. We see children, teens, and adults.
