About
As a veteran and trauma-informed therapist, I understand that our experiences can shape how we see ourselves and the world around us, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered to better understand themselves and the experiences that have shaped them.
I am a Licensed Social Worker and trauma-informed therapist with extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. Throughout my career, I have supported people navigating trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, behavioral and emotional challenges, family conflict, crisis, and difficult life transitions. I work with clients who may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure of what comes next, helping them better understand their experiences, develop healthier ways of coping, strengthen relationships, and build confidence in themselves and their ability to navigate life’s challenges.
I believe therapy works best when clients feel comfortable being honest and know they will be met without judgment. I take a practical, individualized approach, helping clients recognize patterns, build coping and communication skills, and identify strategies that fit their lives. I value authenticity, and working alongside each client at their own pace.
Reaching out for support can be difficult, especially when you have been carrying things on your own for a long time. You do not have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Wherever you are right now, we can start there. If you feel I may be a good fit for you or your family, I invite you to schedule an appointment.

As someone who has experienced personal trauma, I focus my energy on creating a compassionate, affirming space, where people can explore their inner experiences and remember their true strengths.
My journey into therapy began after I realized people were able to overcome really difficult experiences. I continue to believe that people cope with trauma in the best way they know how, and that courage and resilience come from inside. My role is to help you access those sometimes forgotten abilities. I work primarily with adults navigating trauma, building coping skills, or exploring personal goals. Whether you're working through trauma or exploring your goals, I'll work with you to create a plan for growth that feels empowering and achievable.
I treat every person as the expert in their lives and approach every session with curiosity. I use EMDR and Prolonged Exposure Therapy to help manage difficult memories, Internal Family Systems to help you better understand yourself, and mindfulness and relaxation to help you manage stressful situations.
Therapy is a partnership. We'll identify and set goals that matter to you As we work together, your goals may evolve as you gain new insights. Working together we will get to know each other and build a relationship. In the first few sessions, we will focus on coping and self-soothing, and I'll share techniques you can use when you feel overwhelmed.

A therapist dedicated to helping people find their sense of purpose and identity and helping people heal from experiences that may be preventing growth and contentment in life.
My name is Chad. I began my journey in mental health treatment in 2009 after leaving seven years of service in the United States Air Force. I earned a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2012 and achieved licensure in 2014.I was certified in EMDR in 2011 and have been actively treating trauma symptoms for over 15 years. I've learned to integrate CBT and Narrative therapy into my practice for a more complete approach to recovery. I also help clients build boundaries, improve coping skills, develop better communication methods, resolve conflict more effectively, and pursue their life goals.
Life experiences shape how we see and respond to the world. Some lead to growth and strength. Others—toxic people, traumatic events, undeserved hardship—limit our sense of identity and control. Improved boundaries and communication help clients build healthier support. Trauma therapies help heal from past wounds and live more fully in the present.
Everybody has their own story. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and helping you write the next chapters in your life. Nothing is certain, but I will offer you the best guidance and insight I can provide and help you take your next steps forward. I look forward to meeting you and beginning this journey together.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Depression and anxiety disorders can manifest themselves with emotions and feelings such as sadness, worry, anxiety and nervousness. Development of depression and anxiety begins when these emotions occur at much higher intensities and persist for unusually long periods of time.

Not surprisingly, depression and anxiety are often diagnosed simultaneously in one individual. Whilst they are quite similar in some aspects, there are a number of differentiating symptoms – some of those symptoms include:
Considerable differences in the symptoms can occur from one patient to the next. Combined with the fact that there is not a simple blood test or physical examination that can be used to diagnose anxiety or depression, the diagnosis can prove challenging for a healthcare practitioner. A health professional will generally rely on the information collected whilst leading a conversation or completing questionnaires with the patient.
Talk-based therapies, such as the counseling services provided by Thriveworks Westminster, can be very successful at treating a patient suffering from depression or anxiety. Not only do these types of therapy help to manage patients’ symptoms – they also equip them with a number of mental tools and coping methods that empower them to avoid future occurrences of the disorders. When combined with lifestyle and medical interventions such as exercise and anti-depressant medication, talk-based therapies can be of great value to those suffering from mental health problems.
