I am a therapist who has experienced personal trauma and grief which I believe makes me highly empathetic and relatable to those with trauma history and knowledgeable on helping others to work through complex difficult emotions while engaging in valuable self-reflection.
I am a Clinical Expressive Arts Therapist and talk therapist who has been working in the field for about 8 years. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient hospitals, substance use programs, school settings, and outpatient therapy clinics. I have worked with different ages including children 4 to 10, teens 14 to 18, young adults in their 20s to 40s, and older adults 40+. I have experience with diagnoses including depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, substance use disorder, trauma history, and life transitions. I also have a background in yoga and mindfulness and incorporate them into sessions.
My focus is helping clients process difficult emotions, develop emotional regulation and coping skills. I am currently working toward my REAT license (Registered Expressive Arts Therapist) and can bring expressive therapy into sessions if the client is open to that approach. No background in art is necessary and talk therapy is also an option.
I am a highly empathetic therapist with a person-centered and solution-focused approach. I will help you to identify emotions, regulate your nervous system, engage in mindfulness, improve relationships, and navigate life transitions. I also have a background in DBT and CBT if a client wants to learn more coping and interpersonal skills.

My name is Autumn, and I was a peer support for 10 years before I became a clinician. I received my master's of social work from Salem State University, and I enjoy working with people who are creative and emotional. I have worked with people managing depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma/PTSD, bipolar, and schizoaffective disorder. I love to see my clients connecting to social supports, exploring their interests, and building relationships.
My primary focus is on client empowerment. This includes helping to identify environmental factors oppressing your growth and healing, how to navigate imperfect systems to meet your needs, and community building—because healing is not individual work. Healing happens with other people, within communities and relationships. Modalities I use include CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused brief therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy.
I can't wait to find the spark of inspiration that lights you up and helps you feel confident to follow your heart. Even one session might help you begin making amazing changes.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

My go-to approach for helping people in couples/marriage counseling is solution-focused. I find the best benefit in this approach because every relationship is different, and each couple holds a unique set of beliefs about what a relationship should look like, allowing each couple to uncover their own goals and hopes for the future.
In couples/marriage counseling, I teach the following tools:
I know a client is making meaningful progress in couples/marriage counseling when they state they are using the tools they have learned in therapy. I will notice that couples laugh more during sessions and appear as a team rather than two separate individuals.
Clients can supplement their time in couples/marriage counseling with recommended readings, individual therapy, and practicing exercises and tools learned in therapy.
To prepare for your first couples/marriage counseling session, you can reflect on your relationship historically. Take time to think about the areas of your relationship that need improvement but also focus on the areas of strength in your relationship as we want to build on this foundation moving forward.
Couples therapy and marriage counseling, also known as relationship counseling, helps couples work through their specific relationship issues. Some examples of common focuses within couples therapy and marriage counseling include:
The types of therapy used in couples and marriage counseling include:
At Thriveworks, Couples/marriage therapy is led by licensed professionals — often licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs) — who are experts in their field and best-equipped to help couples.

If you’re facing persistent relationship problems, communication breakdowns, or unresolved conflicts that are impacting your emotional well-being and happiness, Couples/marriage therapy may be beneficial for you.

Are you considering attending marriage therapy? As the years go by, ups and downs in any relationship aren’t uncommon, but that doesn’t make them a breeze to deal with. Know that you and your spouse certainly aren’t the only ones experiencing challenges, and that support is available when you’re ready. In fact, now may be an opportune time to consider seeing one of our Quincy, MA marriage counselors, couples therapists, or relationship experts!
The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists advises that if you’re struggling with stress, unhappiness or issues in your relationship, the sooner you and your husband or wife begin counseling, the more likely you are to have a positive outcome. Why wait until things start feeling worse between you? Reach out today to schedule an appointment with Thriveworks Quincy.
Regardless of how much you love each other, you and your spouse aren’t going to agree on everything all the time. Arguments are normal, and outside factors like stress at work, health worries or issues with friends can end up putting additional strain on your marriage.
Quite often, couples who are experiencing problems wait too long to pursue therapy because they don’t think the situation is “bad enough” to require it. But why let small issues come between you? If you love your partner and are feeling stuck to address what’s bothering you, counseling is well suited to getting you back on track. You may even want to think of it as an investment in your future happiness.
While the circumstances surrounding your situation are unique to you and your spouse (or partner), there’s a good chance you might be dealing with what’s known as a common relationship issue. While the specifics are different, many couples disagree over matters such as:
