About
I’m a warm, behaviorally grounded therapist who will meet you with compassion and real-world tools—so you feel understood, learn what’s driving the patterns, and build skills that make daily life worth living.
I'm a therapist with a practical approach grounded in DBT and behavioral principles. I work with clients stuck in intense emotions, anxiety, shame, or repeating relationship patterns. I draw from DBT, CBT, and behavioral strategies while keeping work collaborative and tailored to you. Many clients want clear tools and practice to manage overwhelm, reduce reactivity, improve communication, and feel more steady. Whether navigating stress, transitions, neurodivergent traits, or patterns that don't match who you're trying to be, my goal is to help you feel understood and empowered—with a practical plan you can use.
My style is warm, direct, practical. I use DBT and behavioral strategies to help you identify patterns and practice skills that work. I also use CBT for thinking patterns. You can expect collaboration, accountability, and real-world focus through coping plans and communication practice. My goal is for you to leave with skills you can use independently.
If you've been carrying a lot while staying functional, you're not alone. Therapy is a place where you feel genuinely understood and learn skills to make life more manageable, one step at a time. If you're ready for supportive, practical work grounded in real change and compassion, I'd be honored to work with you. Schedule an appointment when you're ready.

A therapist dedicated to helping people find their sense of purpose and identity and helping people heal from experiences that may be preventing growth and contentment in life.
My name is Chad. I began my journey in mental health treatment in 2009 after leaving seven years of service in the United States Air Force. I earned a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2012 and achieved licensure in 2014.I was certified in EMDR in 2011 and have been actively treating trauma symptoms for over 15 years. I've learned to integrate CBT and Narrative therapy into my practice for a more complete approach to recovery. I also help clients build boundaries, improve coping skills, develop better communication methods, resolve conflict more effectively, and pursue their life goals.
Life experiences shape how we see and respond to the world. Some lead to growth and strength. Others—toxic people, traumatic events, undeserved hardship—limit our sense of identity and control. Improved boundaries and communication help clients build healthier support. Trauma therapies help heal from past wounds and live more fully in the present.
Everybody has their own story. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and helping you write the next chapters in your life. Nothing is certain, but I will offer you the best guidance and insight I can provide and help you take your next steps forward. I look forward to meeting you and beginning this journey together.

As someone who has experienced dysfunctional family life , I understand the struggles that unfold and how painful the experience is. I now have a unique perspective on the deeper meaning of life and the importance of healthy relationships throughout our lifetime. Learning how to build and maintain these relationships takes time and I hope I can empower you to start that journey.
I graduated in 2012 with my master's in social work from Fordham University in NYC. I worked in psychiatric hospitals do intakes and assessments, an substance abuse facility, as well as doing in home mental health counseling for adolescents and adults. Throughout my 14 years of experience, I have enjoyed doing private mental health therapy the most and have specialized in working with couples, marriages and families. My clients have brought many everyday struggles to my practice including infidelity, loss of connection, family conflict, domestic abuse, addictions within the family and blended family struggles.
I have been trained on the Gottman and Emotional Focused Therapeutic techniques for my couples. Both of these techniques have a lot of eye-opening information that has brought a lot of help to couples and families struggling in their relationships. I have also been trained on ACT and CBT approaches for my individual clients seeking emotional stability.
I look forward to meeting each one of you, hearing your story and walking with you in your journey to emotional stability and healing your relationships.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Kayla: My go-to approach for helping people in couples/marriage counseling are Gottman-based approaches. Gottman maps it out beautifully, starting at the foundational skills and working up to conflict resolution and appreciation.
Samantha: My go-to approach for couples/marriage counseling combines Gestalt and ACT. I find the best benefit in this blend because it addresses both emotional insight and behavioral change. Gestalt's focus on present-moment awareness complements ACT's emphasis on mindfulness and values clarification. This integrated approach fosters self-awareness, mindfulness, and alignment with shared values, leading to deeper connection and lasting change in the relationship.

Samantha: I teach the following tools in couples/marriage counseling:
Kayla: I know a couple is making meaningful progress in couples/marriage counseling when a couple shows more appreciation in sessions through words and nonverbals such as light touching.
Samantha: I know couples are making meaningful progress in counseling when they demonstrate the following:
Kayla: Clients can supplement their time in couples/marriage counseling by doing things they did at the beginning of their relationship to identify why they first got together.
Samantha: Clients can supplement their time in couples/marriage counseling with going to individual therapy and practicing mindfulness in order to recognize their own emotional triggers. Additionally couples should engage in activities together, such as date nights, shared hobbies, or attending relationship workshops or retreats: any opportunities for bonding, communication, and creating positive memories.
Kayla: To prepare for your first couples/marriage counseling session, you can write down a few issues in the relationship, ranked from the most impactful to the least impactful, to better identify a priority list for yourself and the counselor.
Samantha: To prepare for your first couples/marriage counseling session, reflect on your relationship goals, gather relevant information, and coordinate schedules with your partner. Approach the process with openness, honesty, and a willingness to be vulnerable. Manage expectations and understand that progress takes time. Keep in mind the counselor is not going to take sides or keep secrets from the other partner.
