I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Gonzaga University, a Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations & Corporate Communications from Georgetown University, and a Master of Arts in School Counseling from the University of Denver. This past year, I completed courses at Clemson University's Clinical Mental Health program for my LPC-A in South Carolina. While I primarily work with children and teens, I enjoy supporting clients across all stages of life.
I will listen and support you in a warm and nurturing environment and will be a positive support on your journey. I frequently incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a strengths-based approach to support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma. I can use Play Therapy to address emotional and behavioral challenges in younger clients.
I will create a therapeutic, supportive, and safe space where clients can be themselves, express their emotions, and work toward meaningful goals that support a fulfilling life. Feel free to schedule an appointment with me so that I can be a support for you on your journey!

Dr. Dalicia Watson is a Licensed Independent Social Worker - Clinical Practice with over 6 years of experience. Dr. Watson began her social work career as a case manager at the Department of Social Services, working with abused and neglected children and adults. Dr. Watson had the opportunity to work with clients who suffered from depression and/or anxiety, victims of domestic violence, and clients with ADHD. Dr. Watson also has experience working with clients who experience grief, self-esteem, suicidal ideations, stress, and time management.
Dr. Watson's goal for all of her clients is to help them to maintain a mentally healthy and safe lifestyle. Dr. Watson allows the clients to be the experts in their sessions, which helps the clients be in charge of what they would like to fix and work on. She feels that having the clients as the experts helps the clients to see the growth within themselves.
Dr. Watson helps make therapy a safe space for clients to come and let it all out. Dr. Watson meets clients on their level and grows with the client as the client improves through treatment.

As a woman who has spent a long time learning how to claim my authentic self to empower my personal choices, I use my own loss, grief, and trauma, as well as life changes, to witness my clients' truth and courage to choose their transformation.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 27 years of experience helping children, adults, couples, and families navigate depression, anxiety, grief, ADHD, post-traumatic stress disorder, and major life transitions. My goal is to provide compassionate and grounded support as clients explore their emotional patterns and rediscover their capacity for healing, growth, and connection in a safe, nonjudgmental space.
I earned a Master’s in Counseling from the University of South Carolina. I believe that healing begins with awareness and recognizing outdated coping mechanisms and learning new ways to respond that align with who you are today. My approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing.
I encourage clients to feel deeply without losing themselves in the process and to “feel everything, just don’t drown in it.” I believe healing is found in mindful presence, self-compassion, and consistency. I would be honored to walk beside you as you uncover your most authentic self and build a life rooted in strength, peace, and empowerment.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

At Thriveworks, Couples/marriage therapy is led by licensed professionals — often licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs) — who are experts in their field and best-equipped to help couples.
The Gottman Method of couples therapy is a research-supported approach designed to enhance relationships by bolstering the bond between partners, resolving conflicts, and fostering shared meaning in their relationship through comprehensive assessments and tailored interventions that improve communication, trust, and the overall health of the partnership.
If you’re facing persistent relationship problems, communication breakdowns, or unresolved conflicts that are impacting your emotional well-being and happiness, Couples/marriage therapy may be beneficial for you.
While marriage and couple’s counseling is typically recommended for couples who are experiencing persistent or severe relationship issues, any relationship can benefit from attending these sessions.
Marriage and couples counseling at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you and your partner.
On average, couples attend marriage and couples counseling for 12 weeks. However, couples & marriage counseling may last longer or shorter, dependent on the couples’ needs, the challenges they’d like to work through, and the pace of their progress.
