About
As a White female clinician, I bring a compassionate, culturally responsive approach to therapy informed by years of clinical leadership and frontline experience in restorative justice and mental health, grounded in self-awareness, humility, and a commitment to meeting clients where they are while supporting meaningful healing and growth.
I am a licensed professional counselor-supervisor (LPC-S) with over 12 years of experience in community mental health, private practice, and restorative justice settings. I work with adults, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, addiction, and major life transitions, including those involved in legal or high-conflict systems. My approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, and focused on fostering healing, growth, and resilience.
I earned my doctorate in counseling education and supervision from the University of Holy Cross. My work is person-centered and humanistic, incorporating evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy. I value experiential, goal-oriented treatment and honor each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and personal story.
You do not have to navigate this season alone. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. Together, we will work toward meaningful change and emotional balance at a pace that feels right for you. When you are ready, I invite you to take the next step and begin this work together.

I come from a multidisciplinary and multicultural background and am particularly conscious of the importance culture can play in therapy.
My name is Lonnie Renteria, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 9 years of experience. I provide a safe, judgment-free, supportive space for individuals, couples, and families. I take an experiential approach, helping clients discover truths about their needs, expectations, and hopes. I also specialize in working around trauma and attachment injuries.
I received my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University. I am well-versed in emotion-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), narrative therapy, & trauma work. I am continuing to enhance my training in internal family systems models, to be a more patient and empathetic therapist.
I have a genuine interest in your process, and I encourage you to be the best you can be. I believe we all have the capacity to heal and build the life that we want to live. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership and a forum for gaining a better understanding of ourselves, not a place to "get rid of" or "fix" something. Get started today!

As an African American woman of color, I know first-hand the unique issues of being a part of a population who has been marginalized.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) with over 12 years of experience working with adolescents and adults within the mental health field. I have conducted individual and group therapy with individuals who may struggle with depression, anxiety, suicidal idealization, trauma, and grief.
I obtained my Doctorate degree in Philosophy from Walden University, Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center (LSUHSC), and a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation & Disability Studies from Southern University A&M College. I utilize multiple treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solutions-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness.
We each come to therapy searching for change, understanding, and relief. I believe counseling helps you accept what you cannot change and focus on what you can. Counseling is a personal journey to reach your goals, overcome struggles, and empower yourself. If you're ready to put in the work, I look forward to establishing a collaborative relationship with you.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

With Thriveworks, Online therapy is an effective alternative to in-person therapy services in which a client can speak to a Thriveworks therapist remotely via online video conferencing. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person treatment, but they can also provide added benefits like reduced travel time, saving money on transportation or childcare, and increased access to care.
Online therapy works much like traditional in-person therapy but takes place through secure video conferencing. Clients can attend Online therapy from any safe place they choose that has access to the internet, whether that be their home or another easily accessible place. Like in-person treatment, a therapist will work with their client to address their concerns, create goals, and establish an effective treatment plan.
There is no best option for online therapy—instead, it’s best to focus on finding a provider that meets your specific needs and with whom you can form a professional connection with.
Yes, online therapy is just as effetive for many clients as in-person sessions.
Online therapy can last for a few months to years depending on the goals and symptoms of the client. The treatment process will be unique to each client and lend itself to their specific concerns, which means that the time it takes to treat them will always be different. Timing is also up to the client themselves; they are free to stop therapy whenever they please, especially if they feel they have reached their goals and addressed their concerns.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. More information on current self-pay costs is available on our pricing page.
