I believe therapy works best as a partnership wherein we work together to discover your strengths and create meaningful, lasting change.
I'm Sharon, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience helping adults navigate life's challenges. I have worked in various behavioral health settings, providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, and relationship concerns. I enjoy working with adults and older teens who may feel overwhelmed or stuck. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and accepted while we work together to identify strengths, overcome obstacles, and create lasting change.
I provide a compassionate, collaborative approach that helps clients gain insight, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful change. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and substance abuse. Clients can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard and supported.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel difficult, but you don't have to face life's challenges alone. Whatever you are experiencing, you'll be met with compassion, respect, and support. If you are ready to begin your journey toward healing and growth, I invite you to schedule an appointment.

As a professional woman, mother and grandmother, I have navigated many life circumstances and challenges which contribute to the well rounded education inherent in a mental health career.
I am a LCSW licensed in 1989. Much of my career has been spent with military members and their families affording me with knowledge and insight into the complexities of military service. I have worked extensively with depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. I understand the burdens these painful circumstances bring. I believe in meeting clients where they are with compassion and empathy, and I believe in the indomitable human spirit.
As a LCSW, I've had years of training in multiple methods of working with trauma including CBT, DBT, CBT-PTSD, ACT, Ego State, and EMDR. I believe in the worth of every individual and no two experiences are the same. I believe empathy, respect, and a nonjudgmental approach set the stage for positive client outcomes.
In choosing to engage in therapy with me, I hope you will find warmth and acceptance, a listening ear and understanding heart. Once you engage, you will find the process fluid, with you in charge of your goals and outcomes while I provide tools, support, feedback, and encouragement along the way.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

A simple question such as “Want to hang out?” can lead to a slippery slope in your mind that has an unlimited supply of questions and excuses not to be interactive with others:
Some symptoms of social phobia can be very mild such as avoidance of social situations to severe physical symptoms of anxiety including confusion, sweating and shaking in social situations. The invitation may be a great thing in order to get out of the house and away from the TV or computer, but the fear and worry of looking out of place or being judged in a social setting can hold you back.

With the help of Thriveworks Conway, you will receive the tools, motivation, and education to succeed in facing this phobia head-on and eliminate the fear and worry associated with social anxiety disorder.
Thriveworks’ certified counselors guide you through the stages necessary to regain and take control of your freedom to enjoy the rest of your life meeting new people, experiencing deeper connection with others and enjoying the presence of friends and family.
