About
In therapy, I believe that words can have deeper, often surprising meanings you aren't even aware of at first, meanings related to what you're going through, and it is my desire to help uncover those connections to facilitate your improvement.
My name is Josias Pincay. I received my master's degree in Psychology with a Clinical Concentration from the University of Dallas in 2025, a university whose emphasis on the phenomenological and psychoanalytic traditions of psychology provided a well-rounded foundation in approaching patients not as a cluster of symptoms, but as individuals with their own unique histories and ways of being in the world, and whose symptoms are latent with meaning and function (even if dysfunctional).
I lean strongly on the fundamentals of Lacanian psychoanalysis, focusing on HOW you talk about your life and problems to explore the underlying dynamics of a symptom or behavior. The aim is to spark curiosity and awareness of your own thoughts and actions, developing insight and ultimately dealing with the root of the problem rather than its branches.
Taking the step to truly discuss your SELF with someone else is a daunting step, but well worth it, and it is a commendable thing to seek help for yourself instead of staying stuck in the same patterns that have troubled you.

I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am currently a doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision at St. Mary’s University, with the goal of becoming a counseling professor. Eating disorder therapy is a specialized approach aimed at assisting those who are grappling with a range of eating disorders. These disorders are significant mental health conditions characterized by irregular or unhealthy eating patterns and an intense focus on body weight and shape. Common conditions addressed in Eating disorders include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).
