About
I believe you don't have to have it all figured out before starting therapy—you just need a space where you can be yourself, feel understood, and know someone is genuinely in your corner.
Hi, I'm Jillian Block, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland. I work with teens (16+) and adults navigating bipolar disorder, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or disconnected from the life they want. Together, we focus on building insight, developing healthy coping skills, strengthening resilience, and creating meaningful, lasting change that aligns with your goals and values.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I integrate CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy to help you better understand yourself, manage difficult emotions, improve relationships, and build practical skills that support lasting growth.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don't have to do it alone. You deserve a space where you feel heard, accepted, and supported. If you're ready to invest in yourself and create meaningful change, I'd be honored to be part of your journey.

The number of life coaching sessions someone attends can differ based on the coach and the client’s choices. How many sessions are needed and how often they occur often hinges on the client’s objectives and the complexity of their concerns. Some clients might opt for a few sessions to tackle particular goals or issues, while others may decide on ongoing coaching sessions to work on personal growth and life enhancement over a more extended period of time. Thriveworks Baltimore therapists work with clients to create goals and potential timelines for treatment.
That our lives are filled with challenges is one of the common truths our modern world, and while there are private and governmental support services in place, often these services are insufficient or not right for what we need. The role of these facilities is to assist you in moving passed the stresses and struggles of daily life. Professional life coaching provides this too, but it supports you not only in overcoming life’s trials, but in surpassing your own expectations. This is the dedicated support provided by life coaching at Thriveworks Baltimore Counseling.
A life coach can help you to:
The dedicated support and committed time a professional life coach provides helps you to decide on and achieve your goals. Many people battle to remove the obstacles before them and to suppress self-doubt, both of which cause stress and unhappiness. Friends and family often offer counsel on what career paths you should choose or which partner you should have, but a professional life coach has so much more to offer.
A life coach assists you in exploring and assessing the multitude of detrimental and healthy choices presented to you, and gives you ardent care and support to help you make those important and difficult decisions. Call us if life coaching sounds right for you, or if you would like more information about it. Most clients can meet with a provider within the same week of reaching out. In addition, we offer evening and weekend sessions and accept most major insurances.
