Jamie Bennett is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California. She completed her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology at the University of Michigan and received her Masters of Social Work at Columbia University. Her past experiences include individual and group work within private practice, clinic, and hospital settings and Jamie now specializes in anxiety disorders, depression, life transitions, mood, and personality disorders. She has honed a comprehensive therapeutic style to best support patients’ sustainable life changes. Jamie currently works in an individual capacity with adolescents and adults, identifying their most pervasive symptoms with the intention of liberating them from their emotional confines. She first conducts a psychodynamic exploration and collaborates with patients to create meaningful, individualized goals. Throughout the therapeutic work, Jamie is vigilant about relaying relevant cognitive and dialectical behavioral strategies to enhance therapeutic outcomes. Jamie maintains a compassionate and empathic approach in order to create a "judgment-free zone" for patients. She lives and works by the belief that there is value in every experience and by uncovering the meaning in challenges, patients can maximize the rest of their lives.
